How Do I Create an Account?

Ready to join the club? Creating an account is quick and easy. Simply click the person icon at the top right of your screen, next to the basket icon.

To register, just enter a valid email address and create a memorable password.

I’ve Forgotten My Password

Don’t worry - simply click the “Forgotten Password” link on the login page. You’ll automatically receive an email with instructions to reset your password.

Please remember to check your spam or junk folder if the email does not appear in your inbox.

If you continue to experience issues, please contact us at contact@avamayfair.com and include the email address linked to your account. Our team can then generate a temporary password to help you regain access.

How Do I Change My Account Information?

To update your account details, simply log into your account and select Account Details. From here, you can update your first and last name, change your email address, or reset your password.

To update your billing or delivery address, click on Addresses and enter your new details.

How Does the Loyalty Scheme Work?

To start collecting loyalty points, you’ll first need to create an account with us.

Each product page will display the number of points you can earn from that item, and your total points earned from an order will also be shown at checkout. Once your order has been dispatched, the allocated points will automatically be added to your account.

You can redeem your points at checkout by selecting “Redeem Points”, and the value of your points will be deducted from your basket total.

Order

How Do I Track My Order?

For UK parcels only, you can track your parcel through the Evri Tracking System using the reference/tracking number found in your dispatch email. Track Here

If you have not received your dispatch email and are having difficulty tracking your order, please email contact@avamayfair.com and we will do our best to help.

How Do I Cancel or Amend My Order?

Once your order has been processed, we are unfortunately unable to make any amendments. This includes combining orders, adding discount codes, or removing or adding items to an existing order.

If you wish to cancel your order, please contact us as soon as possible at contact@avamayfair.com or call us on +44 (0)1709 257 295 during our customer service hours below.

I Haven’t Received My Order

If your order has not arrived and your tracking information has not updated within the expected delivery timeframe, please contact our team at contact@avamayfair.com and we will be happy to assist you.

Please allow up to 5 working days for Standard Delivery orders before getting in touch.

My Order Is Damaged or Incorrect

If your order has arrived damaged, contains incorrect items, or is missing anything, please contact our team at contact@avamayfair.com and include your order number in your email.

Where possible, please also attach a photo of your invoice along with clear photos of any damage or incorrect items so we can assist you as quickly as possible.

Are Gift Cards Available as a Payment Method?

Yes, Ava Mayfair gift cards can be used as a payment method at checkout. Simply enter your gift card details during checkout and the balance will be applied to your order total.

Can I Use More Than One Payment Method?

Unfortunately, we are unable to accept multiple payment methods for a single order. Payment must be completed using one selected payment option at checkout.

Can I Amend My Payment Method After Ordering?

Once an order has been placed, we are unable to change or amend the payment method used for the transaction.

Do You Offer Buy Now, Pay Later Options?

Yes, we offer Buy Now, Pay Later options through Klarna and Shop Pay, allowing you to spread the cost of your purchase into instalments where eligible.

How Do I Apply a Promotional Code?

You can apply your promotional or voucher code at checkout using the “Discount code or gift card” box shown in your basket summary. Simply enter your code and click Apply.

Once successfully applied, your discount will automatically appear in your order total.

Can I Use a Promotional Code on Sale Items?

Some promotional codes may be excluded from sale or discounted items. Any exclusions or terms will be stated alongside the promotion where applicable.

Delivery and Returns

What Delivery Options Do You Offer?

We currently offer two UK delivery options with Evri depending on your chosen shipping method:

Express Delivery: 1–2 business days from £4.99

Standard Delivery: 3–5 business days from £3.95

Please note: Shipping costs may vary depending on the weight of your order.

Do You Offer Free Delivery?

Yes, Ava Mayfair offers free UK mainland delivery on all orders over £50.

Please note that additional delivery charges may apply to Northern Ireland, the Highlands & Islands, and selected postcodes.

What Countries Do You Deliver To?

We currently ship throughout the UK and to selected international destinations.

If you’re unable to complete checkout for your location, please contact our customer service team and we’ll do our best to assist with arranging delivery.

Where Is My Parcel?

If you are concerned about the whereabouts of your parcel, please contact us at contact@avamayfair.com within 28 days of receiving your dispatch confirmation email.

Unfortunately, after this timeframe couriers are unable to investigate or refund lost parcels, meaning we may no longer be able to assist further.

How Do I Return an Item?

To arrange a return, please contact our Customer Service Team at contact@avamayfair.com and include your order number in your email.

Items must be returned within 30 days of delivery and in a resaleable condition.

If you cancel your order within 14 days of receiving it, you will receive a full refund including the original delivery charge. Returns made between 15–30 days after delivery will be refunded for the product cost only.

What Is Your Returns Policy?

Your experience with Ava Mayfair is very important to us, and we want your online shopping experience to be as enjoyable and stress-free as possible.

If you change your mind, you may return your order within 30 days of delivery, provided the items are returned in a resaleable condition with no signs of use or damage to the product or packaging.

If you notify us of your cancellation within 14 days of receiving your order, you will receive a full refund including the original delivery cost. Returns requested between 15–30 days after delivery will be refunded for the product cost only.

Please note, we are unable to offer refunds for products returned used, damaged, or without their original packaging.

I Can’t Find the Product I’m Looking For

Are Your Products Safe to Use During Pregnancy or Around Newborns?

Our products do not contain essential oils and none of our ingredients are classified as toxic. However, we always recommend consulting with your GP or healthcare professional before using any fragranced products during pregnancy or around newborn babies.

Are Your Products Safe for Use Around Pets?

Our fragrances are non-toxic; however, we always recommend keeping all products out of reach of pets and children as an added safety precaution.

Why Is My Wax Melt Bubbling?

Don’t panic - bubbling wax melts are usually caused by one of a few common reasons:

There may be water left in the burner if it has recently been washed

The wax may have become too hot from being heated for too long

The tealight flame may be sitting too close to the bowl

Always ensure your burner is completely dry before adding a new wax melt. We also recommend checking that you are using a dedicated wax burner rather than an oil burner, unless the product specifically states it is suitable for both wax and oils.
A safe distance between the tealight and the bowl is important to prevent overheating.

For best results, we recommend using a maximum 4-hour tealight.

If wax becomes too hot, the fragrance can burn off more quickly, meaning your scent may not last as long.

Why Is There Clear Smoke Coming From My Wax Melt?

No need to worry - this is completely normal and is simply the fragrance being released into the air. As the scent begins to fade, you may notice less visible vapour or “clear smoke” coming from the wax melt.

My Electric Lighter Has Stopped Working

Please take extra care when following these steps. In some cases, wax residue may block the connection points and prevent the lighter from working correctly.

Using a paper stick cotton bud or another small non-conductive tool, gently remove any wax build-up from each side of the connection area. You may need to carefully lift the section slightly in order to access and clean it properly.

Always ensure the lighter is switched off and cool before attempting to clean it.

How Do Reed Diffusers Work?

Reed diffusers work by drawing scented oil through natural rattan reeds and gradually releasing fragrance into the air.

To use your reed diffuser, simply pour the fragranced oil into the diffuser vessel and insert the rattan reeds. The reeds absorb the oil and disperse the scent continuously throughout your room.

For the best fragrance performance, we recommend flipping the reeds weekly so the dry ends are placed into the oil. This helps refresh and strengthen the scent throw.

How Long Do Reed Diffusers Last?

The lifespan of a reed diffuser can vary depending on several factors, including the amount of oil used, the number of reeds, room temperature, and individual sensitivity to fragrance.

Generally, the more oil and fragrance in the diffuser, the longer it will last. Using more reeds will create a stronger scent throw, but the oil will diffuse more quickly. Fewer reeds may make the fragrance more subtle, while helping the diffuser last longer.

For the best performance, we recommend turning the reeds regularly and replacing them over time, as reeds can become clogged and less effective at dispersing fragrance.

Once the scent begins to fade, you can simply refresh your diffuser with one of our reed diffuser refills in your favourite fragrance.

My Reed Diffuser Has Lost Its Scent

Don’t worry - your reeds may simply need refreshing. To revive the fragrance, carefully flip the reeds over and place the dry ends back into the diffuser oil. Spread the reeds out evenly as desired.

For the best scent performance, we recommend flipping the reeds once a week.

Please take care when handling the reeds, as the diffuser oil should not come into contact with skin or surfaces. If contact occurs, wash your hands thoroughly straight away.

Use and Care

How Do I Change My Wax Melt?

The easiest way to remove your wax melt is to light a tealight or switch on your burner for around 30 seconds to slightly soften the wax. While holding the burner steady with one hand, gently slide the wax out using a piece of kitchen roll for a safer and cleaner removal.

Allow the burner to cool before adding a new wax melt.

Can I Use My Oil Burner With Wax Melts?

Please read the product instructions carefully before using your burner with wax melts and ensure it is suitable for wax use.

Not all oil burners are designed for wax melts, as the distance between the flame and the bowl is often much smaller than on a wax burner. If the flame sits too close to the bowl, the burner may become too hot and unsafe to use with wax.

We always recommend checking the suitability of your burner before use.

How Long Should I Leave My Electric Burner On?

We recommend using your electric burner for around 3–4 hours at a time for the best fragrance experience.

Please allow the burner enough time to cool down fully before handling, cleaning, or adding a new wax melt.

Are Your Products Recyclable?

Yes, all of our products and packaging are recyclable. We recommend checking your local recycling guidelines for the best way to dispose of each item correctly.
