Meet our founder, Hannah!

Ava Mayfair (originally known as Ava May Aromas) was founded by Hannah in July 2018, right from her parents’ kitchen. After leaving her full-time marketing career, Hannah set out to create her own home fragrance brand – initially as a part-time venture.

What began as a passion project quickly gained momentum, taking off on social media and growing into a full-time business sooner than expected. Now, more than seven years on, Ava Mayfair continues to evolve, expand, and strengthen its presence within the home fragrance industry.

‘I started pouring scented candles from my parents’ kitchen, much to their delight! I soon discovered wax melts via Instagram and brought them into the mix, which saw orders come flooding in. My mini operation was swiftly outgrowing their kitchen and has continued to grow. The entrepreneurial journey has had many ups and downs, but I can honestly say it has all been worth it, and I am so excited to see what the future holds for Ava Mayfair.’
